Junior Business Development Manager, Manchester

We provide additional marketing services via our Secret Media channels such as Secret London, which has over 1.2 million followers on Facebook. We have recently branched into multiple new cities internationally, including Lisbon, LA and Manchester.

We’re on the hunt for a top-performing salesperson eager to join a fast growing and exciting tech startup with a dedicated and close-knit team. Training will be provided in your first few weeks to ensure you’re comfortable with all aspects of your new role.


About the role

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Craft, define and implement unique and exciting events for Manchester
  • Keep a pulse of the latest events in the city and expose amazing local activities and merchants throughout the city (new venue openings, good tours coming to town, etc.)
  • Meet weekly/monthly sales goals in accordance with quality standards
  • Work with our Marketing team to build the Fever brand through social media
  • Define and sustain the quality standards and objectives of our data
  • Cultivate direct relationships with local venues, bars, and businesses through constant scouting and information gathering assignments

About the role

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prospecting clients with unique and exciting events and communicating the benefits of a partnership with Fever
  • Keeping a pulse of the latest events in the city and exposing amazing local activities and potential partners (new venue openings, good tours coming to town, etc.)
  • Meeting weekly/monthly KPI’s in accordance with quality standards
  • Consistent, year round development and management of high value accounts
  • Devising, pitching, and overseeing the implementation of sponsored creative editorial marketing packages on Secret Manchester
  • Working closely with our marketing team to promote events through Secret Manchester’s social media

About you

  • An understanding of Manchester entertainment, events, and lifestyle trends (essential)
  • Minimum of 1 year of sales experience
  • Self motivated and driven
  • Excellent communication skills, detail oriented, strong grammar and writing skills
  • Diligent and highly organised
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and Google docs preferred
  • Adaptable and data-driven
  • Degree preferred
