ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you looking to bring your intellectual property and media law expertise to a dynamic and globally expanding In-House Legal Team?
We are looking for a proactive and motivated Legal Counsel to join our international Legal Team, with a focus on supporting Fever’s IP and media-related matters worldwide. If you're a legal professional seeking to grow your career at a fast-paced, tech-driven entertainment company, we’d love to hear from you!
As Legal Counsel within the IP and Media team, you will play a key role in supporting our global business strategy, working hand-in-hand with internal teams to provide strategic legal advice on content, branding, event production, partnerships, and innovation. Your day-to-day work will include advising on copyright and trademark matters, managing IP rights clearance and enforcement, reviewing licensing and content production agreements, and supporting the protection and commercialization of Fever’s proprietary assets and third-party collaborations.
This is a unique opportunity to deepen your expertise in intellectual property and media law, take ownership of impactful projects, and contribute meaningfully to Fever’s mission and continued international success.
ABOUT YOU
You will be expected to perform the following work across different jurisdictions:
- Advise other team members on your area of expertise. This requires a “thinking out of the box” mentality. We expect you to fully understand Fever’s business models and interests so you can be an IP adviser while you take an active role in the creative process
- Draft, review, negotiate, and track IP-related agreements or clauses, including IP licensing, music rights licensing contracts in multiple jurisdictions, as well as an active advising role in Co-productions, third-party brand activation campaigns, and sponsorships
- Supervise the preparation and prosecution of worldwide trademark applications and proactive enforcement
- Review, process, and prepare responses to requests from third parties coordinating with all key stakeholders from different Fever teams
- Advise executive management on strategies to protect and exploit new company intellectual property
- Leverage, manage, and coordinate external advice and support as necessary
- Assist with and provide IP & Media-related trainings to different Fever teams
- Drafting and updating IP protection, IP compliance, and risk management policies, processes, and trackers
- Develop internal business-centric programs and processes to implement policies and facilitate business work
- Prioritize your and others’ work
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Be a barred lawyer, anywhere in the world, with 5 or 6 years post-bar professional experience in the legal IP field. We will especially appreciate strong technical skills related to advertising and marketing law, digital media, and platform knowledge
- Have demonstrated experience in Trademarks/Brand Protection, Music Industry, Patents or IP licensing in the US, LatAm, Asia, or an EU jurisdiction
- Have experience in top-notch companies or top-tier law firms
- Speak fluent English with a command of legal English. Any other language is a plus; German is especially appreciated
- Be an effective communicator who brings emotional intelligence to work
You can expect to join a group of diverse, hardworking team players, where a cultural fit is someone willing to stay humble and learn, and can work nimbly. We will strive to provide you with the tools and information necessary to succeed in your role and advance professionally. We welcome applications from unusual backgrounds with the expectation that the applicant will have acquired hard or soft skills and maturity throughout their experiences.
