About the Role:

We are looking for an Operations & Automation Manager to lead the transformation of our Event Operations through process optimization, tooling, and AI-driven solutions. This is a hands-on role for someone who can design, build, and implement systems that make operations more scalable, efficient, and intelligent.

Your work will directly impact how hundreds of events are operated — by making processes clearer, smarter, and more data-driven. This is not a coordination role. You are expected to analyze, build, and implement solutions end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Transformation & Optimization:
  • Redesign operational workflows to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement structured, long-term solutions
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives across Event Operations
2. Tools, Automation & Systems Building:
  • Design and build internal tools, automations, and workflows
  • Automate repetitive tasks across operations (reporting, coordination, execution)
  • Improve and connect existing systems to create seamless operational flows
3. Data & Decision-Making:
  • Build and maintain dashboards to track key operational metrics
  • Extract and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities
  • Ensure data is accessible and actionable for operations teams
4. AI Integration in Operations:
  • Identify use cases where AI can improve operational efficiency
  • Implement AI-driven solutions (e.g. automation, forecasting, support tools, process optimization)
  • Stay up to date with new AI capabilities and proactively apply them to operations
5. Team Leadership (Hands-on):
  • Lead and develop a small team focused on process and tools
  • Ensure high-quality execution and technical rigor
  • Act as a player-coach: both managing and building
6. Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Work with Product, Tech, and Operations teams to align systems and workflows
  • Translate operational needs into technical solutions

What Success Looks Like:

  • Significant reduction in manual operational work
  • Processes are automated, standardized, and scalable
  • Teams rely on data and tools instead of manual coordination
  • AI is effectively integrated into key operational workflows
  • Internal tools are used, reliable, and impactful

About You:

Experience:
  • 5+ years in operations, process improvement, automation, or similar roles
  • Experience leading process transformation or digital transformation initiatives
  • Background in fast-paced environments (startups, consulting, tech, operations-heavy companies)
Technical Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in SQL and data analysis
  • Experience building dashboards (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g. Zapier, Make, scripting, internal tooling)
  • Familiarity with AI tools and applications (LLMs, automation, AI workflows)

  • Hands-on executor: you are comfortable implementing what you design
  • Systems thinker: you connect processes, tools, and data
  • Impact-driven: you focus on solutions that scale
  • Curious and proactive: you actively explore new technologies (especially AI)
Nice to Have:
  • Basic programming skills (Python or similar)
  • Experience in introducing IA in operational environments
Languages:
  • Fluent English required
