Role Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Billing & Tax Operations Manager with a strong focus on indirect taxes and invoicing solutions. The ideal candidate will support the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of tax engines and ensure seamless integration with ERP and invoicing platforms to maintain compliance with evolving U.S. indirect tax requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the squad by providing expertise on B2C invoicing compliance across markets, helping structure invoice content and format based on local tax rules. Collaborate with the Squad Lead to define requirements and perform validations
  • Analyze invoicing and tax requirements across countries, by mapping invoicing and tax requirements across countries
  • Provide guidance on invoice templates and required fields per market
  • Collaborate with the Squad Lead to define scenarios and exceptions
  • Support documentation of requirements for future product automation
  • Develop documentation, user guides, and training materials for internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in tax technology, with a strong focus on invoicing tools.
  • Hands-on experience with tax engines such as Vertex, Avalara, or Thomson Reuters
  • Strong understanding of U.S. sales and use tax regulations and invoicing processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and system integration projects.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data analytics tools preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project management or systems implementation experience is a plus.
