Calendar of the event
Approximately six days per week and hours are typically 14:00 – 23:30 plus meetings and reporting work.
Working from home for the prep period before install.
Working onsite for the load in, event run, and strike.
PAY RATE
20 $/h
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Retail Manager role reports directly to the Event Manager and the Global Retail Lead and will be the main point of contact for all merchandise and retail activity for the event. They will work with a team of 4-6 each night working in two tented sales locations on the event site. This role will lead local decisions in regard to retail and must be able to follow procedures set out by the Global team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible to manage all aspects of retail operations for these stores - including inventory management, scheduling, staffing, cleanliness, preparations, and more
- Manage the overall organization, planning and operations of the retail set-up and teardown
- Supervise the team during the initial inventory and unboxing of all merchandise.
- Manage scheduling, training and supervising of all retail staff
- Maintain and encourage staff performance and growth over the course of the experience
- Address and communicate all staff related issues to on site managers and local labor provider
- Crew welfare- ensure shift patterns are running smoothly & breaks are implemented.
- Help recruit and manage a Retail Associate under the direction of the Global Retail Lead and Production/Operations Teams including day to day management of this position
- In coordination with the Fever-Ops team and Event Management, set up the POS systems located at each point of sale
- Monitor all cash/card transactions
- Oversee, direct, and evaluate flow of service and all sales positions
- Analyze key performance metrics and provide guidance for the store to meet revenue targets and find new efficiencies
- Resolve customer complaints, concerns and general needs
- Willingness to delegate and execute all other related duties
- Works with Global Retail Lead and Event Manager to organize delivery shipments of incoming merchandise
- Inform Global Retail Lead about shortages, and maintain the inventory documentation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years previous experience in retail management or supervisory experience
- Business minded and analytical, understanding levers to pull to fuel our business and hit performance metrics
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and lead others while holding them accountable for results
- Must have experience in using Google Drive and the Google suite of applications including Sheets, Word, Google Meetings.
- Passionate about creating a unique and exceptional customer experience
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to work cross functionally with all levels and teams
- Solutions-oriented
- Must have a positive, outgoing, energetic demeanor and able to maintain a good attitude
- Ability to deal with stressful situations in a calm and professional manner.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays if needed
- Preferably ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted; and bend, twist, and kneel with ease
- Current First-Aid certification is a plus.
- Visa/permits - The candidate must be able to work in the event country and achieve one of the following: (1) Already a citizen/resident in the country and is permitted to work. (2) Already in possession of a work visa/permit.
