What is Candlelight?
Since July 2019, Fever Originals has produced a series of classical music concerts in a “candlelit setting” which take place in the most intimate and undiscovered venues all over the world. Cities include: France (Paris, Toulouse, Lyon), Spain (Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Valencia), Portugal (Lisbon and Porto), and the United States (Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago), and are in the process of expanding to your city! Candlelight has democratized classical music by sharing it with the general public and providing a unique experience for each of our audiences. As of today, Candlelight concerts are present in over 300 cities around the world!
For this role, we are looking for a part-time onsite Event Manager for our Candlelight Concerts located in Lima, Peru. This is a part-time position and our concerts are weekly, from Wednesday to Sunday. Transport costs will not be compensated and will be included as part of the hourly rate.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the relationship with venues, partners, and third parties, acting as a key point of contact on behalf of Fever when required.
- Conduct venue scouting activities both within and outside the assigned city.
- Assist with and attend on-site activities, including:
- Technical visits and venue checks
- Premieres and live events
- Private events and brand partnerships
- Other field activities as needed
- Prepare post-event and scouting reports, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of findings.
- Provide remote support to on-site teams during event execution, helping ensure smooth operations and addressing issues when they arise.
- Handle operational and administrative tasks, including delivering or submitting physical documentation when required.
- Support the coordination of travel logistics for musicians and talent when needed.
- Work closely with internal teams (e.g., Project Managers, Production) to support the successful execution of events.
- Assist with additional operational tasks related to the experience and deliverables, as requested by Fever.
Required skills:
- 1+ years of experience in event management and/or a relevant degree (preferred)
- Interest and passion for live music and organizing events
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Experience leading an on-site team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good ability to work in a pressured environment
- Knowledge of AV and PA systems (desirable)
- The use of personal laptop will be required
- In effect Driver’s License is strongly preferred
Schedule & Pay:
This is a 6-month contract, with the potential for extension, starting as soon as possible. This role combines fieldwork and flexibility. You’ll be on-site at concerts approximately 1–2 times per month, with shifts ranging from 4–8 hours, supporting key moments of the experience.
You’ll also be involved in venue scouting across Lima (1–3 times per month), with occasional travel opportunities to explore new locations across Peru (1–3 trips per semester).
From time to time, you’ll support in-person administrative tasks, such as handling or submitting documentation (1–2 times per month).
As part of the events world, some weekend and holiday availability will be required depending on the schedule.
Our Hiring Process:
- A 30-minute video call with the local Project Manager and/or Producer to better understand the role, walk you through the responsibilities, and answer any questions you may have.
- A practical case study, to be completed within a given timeframe, where you’ll work on a real-life scenario related to the role and present your approach to part of the team.
- A (paid) trial work day to assess your fit within the team; following a successful trial day, an offer will be extended.
